Tioga County’s Health Department, Environmental Health Division will be hosting 2 rabies clinics in the beginning of next month. All clinics are available for dogs, cats and domesticated ferrets. A $5 donation is being requested but not required. The clinics will be on Tuesday, September 6th at the Newark Valley Fire Station on Route 38 and Wednesday September 7th at the Waverly village Barn on Spring Street. Vaccine will not be administered unless pets are under control with dogs on a leash and cats either leashed or boxed and all pets must be accompanied with a responsible adult. Proof of previous vaccination must be shown and effective for a 1 year period. All other vaccinations are effective for a 3 year period.
