Before the flood, the Owego Apalachin schools had scheduled early dismissal (or, a half-day for superintendent’s conferences) for all students.
That has now been changed, and Friday, September 16, will be a full day of instruction. In other words, students will be in school all day … like any other normal school day.
The following students will attend school for the full day on Friday … those who attend:
* Owego Free Academy
* Owego Apalachin Middle School
* Apalachin Elementary School
Of course, the Owego Elementary School Universal Pre-K students are in session at Abide in the Vine at Washington Gladden School, and Friday will be a regular-schedule day for the Pre-K, as well.
PLEASE NOTE:
Owego Elementary School 5th-graders are NOT YET back in session. An announcement will be made soon on when they will return, and begin to attend classes at the middle school. (Again – THIS DATE HAS NOT YET BEEN ANNOUNCED.)
The same goes for OES students in grades kindergarten through 4th grade. These students are NOT YET back in session. An announcement will be made soon on when they will return, and begin to attend classes at Linnaeus West Elementary School (LW) on Route 26 near Day Hollow Road in Union. (Again – THIS DATE HAS NOT YET BEEN ANNOUNCED.)
