Head-On Collision on Route 434 in Owego

Two people have been seriously injured in a head-on collision on Route 434 near the Owego Town Hall.

The accident happened Friday at about 3:30 PM. A white Honda Civic and a black Volco were involved.

Both drivers were trapped in their vehicles and had to be cut out by emergency crews.

One driver was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre; the other was taken to Wilson Hospital.

At this time the conditions of the injured and their identities have not been released.

Police are investigating.

    Driver of one vehicle was a school bus sub-driver for owego apalachin schools, She didn’t make it. We will miss her greatly. she always had a smile anytime you saw her.

      The driver that didn’t survive her injuries was an icon in our community.We will never forget her or what she has done for many people and the lives she has touched. This is truely a sad loss in every way imaginable.

          Authorities have not yet released the names of the accident victims.
