Tonight’s Candor Candidate Debate has been Cancelled

The debate scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 19, between Candor Town Supervisor Candidates Darlene Cobler and Joseph Doty has been cancelled.

The Candor Chamber of Commerce was presenting the debate. Chamber President Butch Doty cancelled the debate after receiving a telephone message from candidate Joe Doty on Tuesday afternoon saying he was too pressed for time to attend the debate and that this is taking more time than I had anticipated.

Crowe said since the intent of the debate was to learn where the two candidates stood on numerous issues and to understand their common grounds and differences, it is is rather hard to do that with only one candidate with enough time to attend.
