This morning Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 29-year-old Russell Walker of Whitney Point following a Domestic Incident in the Town of Triangle.
Police responded to a 911 call from a person who saw a man push the victim’s head into a brick wall and then choke the victim.
When Deputies arrived, they heard someone screaming from inside a residence. The victim ran from the house screaming. Deputies ran to the location and found the victim on the ground with Walker standing over them. Walker was arrested without incident and was charged with felony Strangulation, felony Unlawful Imprisonment, as well as misdemeanor Assault, Menacing, and Criminal Mischief charges.
The victim received minor injuries.
Walker was arraigned in the Town of Triangle Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail.
