National award-winning author/illustrator David Wiesner will visit Union-Endicott’s George F. Johnson Elementary School at 7 p.m. on May 3rd

David Wiesner is one of the best-loved and most highly acclaimed picture book creators in the world. Three of the books he both wrote and illustrated became instant classics when they won the Caldecott Medal: Tuesday in 1992, The Three Pigs in 2002, and Flotsam in 2007, making him only the second person in the award’s long history to have won three times.

His visit is open to the public and sponsored by the public libraries in the area (they are expecting a large crowd and are asking people to carpool).

The Johnson Elementary School is at 999 Taft Avenue in Endicott.
