Endicott Residents Fight National Pipe’s Move from Vestal

The fight against National Pipe and Plastics’ move from Vestal to Endicott continues, as over 60 Endicott residents turn out to hold their own community meeting.

After attending several planning board meetings, some residents said they feel they have no voice in the matter, and fear the move is a done deal. Now their focus is fighting a variance that could allow 12 silos on the planned site. They said the Town of Union Planning Board will be voting on that variance on Monday (July 30). Some residents are working on getting a lawyer to represent them.

National Pipe and Plastics has not commented on the move, and Union Deputy Town Supervisor Rose Sotak says the union town board has no say in the matter.
